So, yes this is the annual reject pictures. Maria got a new camera so I convinced her she needed to try it out (so I could have a Christmas picture). I don't know why but I love rejects, I guess because they are the true nature of what goes on during a shoot. I am also thankful for digital so you can take a bazillion pictures to hopefully get a good one.

This picture, I looked at the kids' faces and thought "Yes!" and then I was bummed when I saw Jaden's face.
What really happens during a photo shoot
I told Jaden that in most pictures taken of us it looks like he is leaning away from me so I told him to pretend like he likes me and this is the result.

Our One Snow

Yes, everyone knows that I hate cold! But, I do enjoy my occasional snow so I can make a snowman, sled and such. We didn't have a white Christmas, but we did have a white few days before.
Kayda was ready to get in on the fun.

I was trying to teach Kolby how to roll the snowball so I would get some help in the years to come. (and I did try to put gloves on him and it didn't work)

From the pictures it looks like I got a lot of help but in reality I asked Jaden, "Why do I decide to do this every time when I know I will be the one doing all the work?"
I guess it is because it really is fun and the kids love putting the finishing touches on it. Or taking off the finishing touches.

The Real Thanksgiving

Yes! I am finally getting closer to being able to post about December.
I realized that I didn't take any actual Thanksgiving dinner pictures.
Here is what we did(besides eat):

Watched cartoons and
Black Friday
I had never done Black Friday before so we had a wild idea of doing the ToysRUs Black Friday thing. We took pictures in the car. I told them to pretend like we were having the time of our lives so we could make Shandra feel bad for not going with us.
This is the crazy line that we survived. But the inside line was way worse and we didn't have anything that we wanted to buy bad enough to stay in it.
This is all we ended up getting: An ad (to go ad match at Wal-mart)
Unfortunately this is how exciting our Black Friday trip got:
One thing I am thankful for: Family that will do some of my dumb ideas with me to make them more fun ( and I promise I won't make you do Black Friday with me again)

So before Thanksgiving my sister-in-law ,Lari, was going to have a small Thanksgiving feast for the Turleys so they could have some turkey since they were going to be in Disneyland on Thanksgiving. Then it evolved into the whole family getting together for a Pre-Thanksgiving. Lari is so good to always feed everyone and get everyone together. Thanks for the party!

Some of the pictures of preparing, eating, more eating and playing.

So I am way behind, nothing new. While we were in California we went to visit Jaden's brother Brandon and his wife Ginger. Since Ridgecrest was where Jaden went to elementary Jaden showed be all the places from his "good 'ol days". One day we went to feed the horses that are herded off the base that is there.
Kolby couldn't help but feed himself too.

On the way home the kids were very entertained for awhile by some dental floss. Ah, hope they keep that habit.
