More Mess But Progress.

The past two days have had some good and some bad rolled into them.

First, our house is torn apart from top to bottom.

Second, while we were in the process of tearing up the house we could not find Bella. Which was a surprise for us because we put up a fence and covered all the holes in the yard. But love conquers all. I find Bella in the neighbors yard. As she got closer I smelt skunk and knew that she had been sprayed. So while I was putting in new windows Kit had to trim her hair and bath her in an anti skunk funk solution Lari told us about. Kit finally got Bella all cleaned and smelling good. So as we continued work on the house Bella went missing again. I think she found her Pepe Le Pew, because when she came back she smelled like skunk again, so Kit started the bathing process all over again. Love conquers all.
Aren't they cute together!!!!!Third, This is the prgress stage. We have Kayda's new windows in her new room and the new french doors in the Mudroom. So admist all the mess there is some prgress being made and it makes us happy to see things some together.

Project Runway and Pumpkins!!!

So, Kits friend Kristal gave us one of these pumpkins and it started an itch in us to make pumpkins for early Christmas presents this year. What a great present to get early so you can enjoy them for the fall. So we have deemed Wednesday nights for Project Runway and Pumpkin Making. What a better way to watch Project Runway then to be doing your own sewing project at the same time. Kit cuts and sews the pumpkins while I make bean bags and hand stitch the bottoms up. Then we give the finishing touch of bow and twig. Our living room looks like a pumpkin patch right now, but soon the will all be harvested.

Week In Review

Number One: We bought a new (to us) car. I was (am) totally stressed even though I felt like it was the right thing to do.
Number Two: Demolition has officially started AGAIN!

Number Three: Kayda was accident free for a week! (that ended today but I was grateful for the week.)*No pictures of this

Those are pretty much the highlights of the week.

On a different note: Every time I ask Kayda what she wants to be for Halloween, her answer is always a monster. So I guess I will be coming up with some monster idea for a costume. Wish me luck!

Kolby's Blessing

Yesterday was Kolby's blessing. We had a lot of family here and my friends Malana and Kathy came to join the occasion. It was such a good day and it was fun to have everybody here.
After church as we were gathered around some of my family commented on Jaden and Kolby's matching hairdos so a faux-hawk party broke out. Thanks for the fun everyone and Kolby for a reason to get together!

I didn't have a chance to take a better picture with Kolby in his Sunday clothes and all handsome - but I did take one.

All of family and friends that came. (yes we took over the chapel)

The faux-hawk boys.

Happy Naps

So my neice Claire calls naps "Happy Naps". Well today Kayda needed some extra encouragement to take a nap and little Kolby likes to snuggle to fall asleep. Instead of napping with them I need to be productive (so I am blogging, I know real productive). But I like family naps and I hope they all wake up Happy!
